Bryant Returns for 2018/19

Sam Bryant returns to the Cardiff Fire line up for the 2018/19 season. Cardiff trained Bryant started his career in the Cardiff junior set up before stepping up to senior level in 2014 with the Cardiff NIHL team. 

Since joining the Fire Sam has been a very important player winning a league championship in his first season. Sam played a huge part in last seasons NIHL 1 team and is incredibly popular on and off the ice with fans and team mates. Sam has represented Cardiff in 85 NIHL games and was loaned to Manchester in the Elite League for one

Alan Armour returns for 6th season in a Cardiff Jersey

Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce that veteran forward Alan Armour returns for what will be his 6th season in a Cardiff Jersey. 

Alan has played the last 3 consecutive seasons with the Fire and has been part of 2 league titles since the Fire formed. Starting his career in Swindon, Alan made his debut for the wildcats as a 16 year old and played in a total of 15 seasons for the club. Including Swindon, Alan has played at Bracknell, Ice of Wight, Oxford, Bristol and of course Cardiff. Amassing an impressive point total of 466 career points. 

Arms has had great success in his time in Cardiff, out of the 5 seasons Alan has been here he has been part of teams that have twice won the league and finished runners up once...

3 more return for Fire

Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce the return of 3 of last seasons players. Forward Elliott Murdoch, Forward Lewis Stevens and Defenceman Iwan Davies all return for their 2nd seasons with the Fire. 

Elliott Murdoch is a quick energetic forward that experienced both NIHL 2 and Division 1 last season. After impressing in the Fire 2 team Elliott was called up 7 times in the 2nd tier scoring one goal. At Division 2 level Elliott also had a great season scoring a point a game. Elliott plays the game with an edge picking up 144 penalty mins in 16 games. 

Like Elliott Lewis Stevens is also young, quick and very energetic. Lewis joined the Fire last season after taking a year off from hockey and went from strength to strength throughout the season...

Elis Sheppard Returns for the 2018/19 season.

Defenceman Elis Sheppard returns to the Fire line-up for the 2018/19 season. This will be Sheppard’s 4th season in a Fire jersey after joining in the clubs first season at IAW. 

Elis played for the club last season in Division 1 and was one of the clubs stand-out performers on D. Elis has won two titles with Cardiff Fire and is hungry for more success. 

Director of Hockey Mark Cuddihy added “Its great to bring Elis back to the club, we signed him from Slough 3 years ago and I can’t believe it will be his 4th season already. His development has been incredible since joining us. He has added so much to his game and just keeps getting better. Even watching him skate a few weeks ago he looks sharper already...
