Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce that 2 talented forwards Reed Sayers and Jay Warren will be joining on two way deals with Cardiff Fire this season. Along with talented GK Tyler Perrie. All 3 players are products of the Swindon junior system. Reed Sayers has spent the last two years with Okanagan academy based in Swindon and last season scored 71 points in just 18 games for the OHA last season with 32 goals and 39 assists. Whilst Jay Warren scored 47 points in just 14 games for Swindon under 18’s. Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce the new signing of Kristians and the return of Chris Fox. 16 year old Kristians arrived in Cardiff earlier in the summer to join Cardiff under 18’s and was invited to practice with the both Fire teams. After impressing during those session Kristians has been offered a spot on the Cardiff Fire team this season.
Also, returning to the line up is London born Chris Fox. Chris joined Cardiff Fire last season and impressed with his work rate. 27 year old Fox has over 10 years national league experience playing for playing for Slough, Harringey and Lee Valley with an EPL game for Slough Jets as a teenager. Chris splits his time in Cardiff between hockey and working as a Doctor.

Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce the acquisition of 26 year old Martyn Gray from Oxford City Stars. Martyn was born in Wales and started his early junior career in Cardiff before moving on to Swindon where he spent the next 5 seasons playing U16, U18’s NIHL 2 and NIHL 1. Following his 5 years in Swindon Martyn moved North to Sheffield where he signed for the Sheffield Senators in NHL north playing in 112 league games. In the 2016/17 season Martyn returned south and signed for the Bracknell Hornets in NIHL division 1 before spending the 17/18 and 18/19 season with the Oxford City stars winning the NIHL 2 South league title.
Martyn also represented GB universities in the Universiade games in the 2013/14 season and represented Oxford University in the 2017/18 season.
Cardiff Fire are pleased to announce the return of Josh Haslam and Ben Smith for the upcoming season.
Haslam is another Fire player that has played senior hockey since the age of 16. At the age of only 24 Josh has played in 242 senior games scoring 121 points. The 6’1 centre will start his 5th season with the Fire and was part of two league winning Fire teams.
Ben Smith rejoins for another season having joined in 2017 from the Cardiff Under 20’s team Ben is only 21 years old and during the 2017/18 season made the switch from forward to defence and spent the whole of last season on D. Another player over 6 foot tall Ben has quick feet and moves the puck well.
